Chloe "Marcie" Saddle Shoulder Bag

Already being called the "it" bag of the Fall season! It just took one look at a picture of Reese Witherspoon carrying a luggage tan color version of it and I was obsessed. I kept day dreaming about it, I couldn't even sleep! Websites were saying it was sold out everywhere. I quickly called my nearest Saks Fifth Avenue to check if they had it and left my name and number. Once I got a call back from them saying they had it and in that same luggage tan color, I was excited to see it in person! My intention was just to see it...visit it in a sense so I can give it a well researched review.
As soon as I arrived at Saks, I began to get excited! As soon as I came in direct view of the bag, I was more in love. The first thing you notice is the rich color and how big it is. Once I held it, it was the fragrant smell of the calfskin leather and heavy brass hardware that make it feel like such a wonderful high quality bag. I tried it on like a new pair of shoes or a new outfit, and I like what I saw. It even went well with the green cargo skinnys and white tee I was wearing. Also, coincidently, I was wearing gladiator sandals that were close in color to the bag. Yummy! I likey! I had to take it home and make it mine. I had to tell myself that if I bought this bag it can be timeless or like an investment. Would it me? Not sure? But if I spend that much money on a purse I would surely make it be!
I usually wouldn't spend that much money on a purse because I prefer to hunt for the best deals, but I do occasionally splurge once in a long while for that one piece I must have and this was it. After putting it towards my Saks Fifth Avenue credit card, in which I got a 10% discount for using it (though the interest rate will surpass that discount if I don't pay it off soon), I got the bag! Some might call it desperate or crazy, but I call it STYLE!! The husband will not like it, but like most woman (can't speak for all), I will cross my fingers behind my back and tell a little white lie about the price. It"s called keeping the marriage together.
For those who don't want to get in trouble with the spouse, run out of money, or not give your right arm, here are a few less expensive choices that won't get you in trouble or in debt. I chose debt. I'm a bad influence, but you don't have to listen to me.
There is a fashion and tabloid magazine, that will remain nameless, that suggested an Old Navy faux leather saddle bag for $25.00. Does not come close to looking like the Chloe "Marcie" bag but it does have the saddle bag look and color of the "Marcie". I also found a crossbody version of the saddle bag look from Michael Kors retailing for $229.00. It is the same exact color as the "Marcie". This was my favorite of the less priced saddle bags because its made of leather and has that same rich color. Love it!
Okay, so thats my review on the "Marcie" bag and my battle with spending for the name of STYLE and FASHION. I'm off and on my way out with my delicious new Chloe Bag!
